Web Directions South 2007

My esteemed colleague Tristan Kenney (possibly NSFW) and I will be attending Web Directions South in Sydney this year. It's a pretty exciting event for me as this will be the first conference I've attended. For those of you who haven't heard of it, Web Directions is a conference for web designers and developers which talks about upcoming technologies and best practices. It is held both in the northern and southern hemispheres each year, and while it's not the same people here as when it's in America, it's still a pretty big deal.

I won't be able to catch every speaker, of course, but I'm really looking forward to learning about the future of HTML and web based interfaces, mashups (presented by the Google Australia Engineering Director) and perhaps some more tips on Javascript usage.

I'll report back here when it's over and let you know what I thought.
